Selahaddin Eyyubi is an upcoming Turk-Pak television series produced by Turkey’s Akli Film and Pakistan’s Ansari and Shah Films. The series is based on the life of Saladin, the founder of the Ayyubid dynasty. Production on the television series began in summer 2022 and is scheduled to premiere on TRT 1 on October 16, 2023.
The series is directed by Emre Konuk, known for his work on the historical dramas “Diriliş: Ertuğrul” and “Kuruluş: Osman”. The authors of the script are Turkish historians İlber Ortaylı and Haldun Hürel as well as Pakistani historians and research authors.
