Review:
The recent installments of Kurulus Osman delivered a thrilling and entertaining experience. Episode 150 kicked off with Uraj Bey engaging in a conversation with Imran Tegin in front of the Atranos fortress. Atranos urged him to vacate the fortress, prompting Uraj Bey to warn Imran Tegin and threaten to prolong the siege.
In response to the ongoing siege of Atranos, Osman Bey, in consultation with others, initiated plans to conquer Kita mountain. However, Emperor Andrenikos grew infuriated with Osman Bey, misled by Holofera’s aunt. The emperor dispatched his army, led by Imran Tegin, to reinforce the siege.
Holofera’s aunt falsely informed the emperor that Osman Bey had killed the Byzantine princess, yet Osman had actually sent her to Konya with honor. This marked the first Byzantine attack against the Ottoman Empire, and Osman Bey found himself facing Byzantine knights for the first time since the establishment of his empire. Amid the preparations for war, Elchim Hatun proposed marriage to Orhan Ber, but both parties disagreed.
Despite their disagreement, Osman Bey ordered Orhan Ber to marry for the sake of the state, causing concern for Malhun Hatun. Osman Bey devised a plan to conquer new territories, eliminate the Mongols from Turkish lands, counter the Yaqub Ber conspiracy, and expand his independent Beylik by annexing more provinces. Behind him, there are currently 6/7 small Turkish settlements with limited numbers of Alps and horses. Osman Bey provided them with gold coins for economic cooperation.
The episode set the stage for a war initiated by the executioner Imran Tegin, who killed Bynder Bey, responsible for a crucial department in Osman Bey’s administration. Osman Bey swiftly vowed to avenge the deaths of Bynder Bey and other Alps. A new plan was devised in consultation with Osman Bey’s family.
Holofera’s aunt reiterated the false claim about the Byzantine princess in a letter to the emperor. Meanwhile, the proposal for Orhan Ber’s marriage to Elchim Hatun caused ripples in the settlement, as Orhan Bey harbors feelings for Holofera. The next episode will reveal the outcome of this marital dilemma.
Emperor Andrenikos joined forces with the Byzantine executioner Imran Tegin, forming a formidable army. Tekfurs and their subordinate soldiers assembled, marking the first Byzantine attack on the Ottoman Empire. Alauddin Bey received assistance from Ulgen Hatun, who pretended to be unwell to conceal Gonza Hatun. Challenges for Osman Bey are escalating, and the audience awaits how he will confront the Byzantines in the upcoming episode. more
