He won the Battle of Karamani in 1428. In 1430 he thwarted a conspiracy in the Balkans. In 1439 he conquered all of Serbia. He retired in 1444 and passed the throne to his son Muhammad II.

He died in 1451. After the death of Murad II, his son Muhammad II (1451-1481) became the Sultan at the age of 12. He was Sultan for a short period from August 1444 to September 1446. After that, he was in power for 30 consecutive years from 1451 to 1481.

Muhammad II focused on the conquest of Constantinople. He captured it in 1453. Emperor Muhammad II gave the new name of the city to Istanbul. Istanbul means the city of Islam. It is currently located on the shores of the Bosphorus Strait.

It was during his reign that the first criminal and administrative laws were enacted. His image and name were printed on the Turkish 100 lira note from 1986 to 1992 because of his contribution. In 1481, the brave died in Istanbul.

In a centralized system of government, the weakness of the center was a disadvantage. As a result, the provincial elite gradually began to ignore the rule of Constantinople.

Secondly, the military capabilities of the European enemies also increased but the Ottoman army did not progress in comparison. At the end of the war, the Ottoman economy was disrupted due to inflation, world trade turning in the other direction, etc.

First: courts for Muslims, second: courts formed for Jewish and Christian communities in which Jews and Christians were appointed, thirdly: commercial courts. Although there was a difference in the type of court, there was a practice of taking cases from one court to another.

Commercial cases could also be settled in Muslim Sharia courts. Also, cases were raised in Muslim courts to settle disputes between Jews and Christians. (5) O son, surely it is upon you to preach Islam, to call people to it, and to safeguard the honor and wealth of the Muslims. Allah Ta’ala will surely ask you about it. Will depend on God’s help.
